I figure I should introduce myself before I just start talking, right?

My name is Rob Olague, age 25, and from a small town called Pacifica, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I currently live in Los Angeles. I have a lot of interests that revolve around emerging communications technology, street art, education, entrepreneurship, and politics. I am also Hard-of-Hearing and that can influence some of my interactions and interests.

I worked in the Information Technology field for a long time, with a variety of companies in many different capacities and in different fields, from nonprofits for education to Hollywood advertising, and also ran my own IT consulting business for several years. I’m very proud of my work in the IT Industry, but as I’ve become familiar with the market and technologies, I’ve found myself more and more compelled by the changes in communications brought about by the technologies we have today.

I’m now working with the Digital Media (Dialogue)  group at a Public Relations company called GolinHarris.

I’m a graduate of USC with a B.A. in Public Relations
