What’s new

Things are going very well.

I’m graduating from USC with a BA in Public Relations at the end of the week, this Friday, May 15. I’m really looking forward to my family coming to celebrate. It’s been a long time coming, and there’s so little to say now. Only that I worked hard to achieve this and I can look back on the experience knowing how much I’ve really changed and grown.

I just celebrated a year with my beautiful girlfriend, Leslie this past weekend. This relationship has been incredibly important and special to me. It’s new, too, though, and trying to be the best person I can for someone else is a unique motivator. I’m not a perfect boyfriend, but I try very hard to maintain balance and treat her with respect and love.

I just accepted an internship opportunity in GolinHarris’ Dialogue group. It’s a very exciting time to be going into a Digital PR job. I can’t wait to see what kinds of things I’ll be doing and learning. I’m really interested to see what happens, but I am determined to do my best.

I am still freelancing as IT for clients around LA. It still pays the bills, and I like all of my clients. They are more than just clients or a livlihood to me. I like being involved with other people’s creative and business opportunities, and my IT skills are one unique thing that I have that allows me to be valuable to them. Through IT, I’ve gotten access to incredibly talented businesspeople and creatives in LA. My clients are the best at what they do, and I’m happy to help them work better.

So what else is new?
I’m feeling transitional. A state of flux in which the future is uncertain. I’m not afraid or confused, but renewed with a sense of purpose. My tone in this post is probably more drab than I feel. I am absolutely enthused and thrilled with anticipation. The best is yet to come.

I owe a lot of people thanks to get to where I am and where I’m going. With the exception of my family, they won’t be mentioned here. The rest know who you are.

Until the next time,
Rob
